University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is located in Jackson along the southern border of the Mississippi Delta. UMMC is the only academic health science center in Mississippi, and houses the only DPT Program for the state. This excellent combination provides students both excellent training and medical resources.
University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNTHSC) is located in Fort Worth, a part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in the South. The UNTHSC DPT program has a low faculty to student ratio for close mentoring.
University of South Florida-PT Expansion Program at University at West Florida (UWF) is located in Pensacola, on the western tip of Florida’s Panhandle. The USF/UWF Partnership DPT program is projected to have 12 students in their inaugural class. U.S. News & World Report ranks the USF PT doctorate program 63rd in the nation, higher than seven other programs in the state.
University of St Augustine for Health Sciences-Florida (USA) is located in St. Augustine, a part of Florida’s First Coast region. USA has a small campus population which allows for individualized mentorship along in ideal year-round campus setting.
University of St Augustine for Health Sciences-Texas (USA) has three campuses. The Texas campus is located in Austin. The inaugural USA DPT program in Austin enrolled in 2012.
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (UT Southwestern) is located in Dallas, a part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in the South. The UT Southwestern DPT program has excellent first time pass rates on the licensure exam.
US Army-Baylor University (Army-Baylor) Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy is located at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. The Army-Baylor DPT Program tuition is paid by the uniformed services and students are both professional military officers specially selected from the civilian sector who receive training to become military physical therapists in the US Army, Navy or Air Force.
Students receive a salary commensurate with their rank and are guaranteed job placement upon completion of this 30 month training program. Students engage in a rigorous academic, research and clinical curriculum. The U.S. News & World Report ranks the Army-Baylor DPT program 5th in the nation.
Western Kentucky University (WKU) is located in Bowling Green, the third largest city on Kentucky. The WKU DPT Program is a new DPT program accepted their inaugural class in June of 2013. Their mission is directed at serving both the healthcare and preventative needs of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
