Georgia Regents University, formerly known as Georgia Health Sciences University (GRU), is located in Augusta, GA. Idaho State University is the only DPT program in Idaho, and has an great location that is close to both Grand Teton and Yellow Stone National Parks. It has an ideal student to faculty ratio of 7 faculty and 26 students for each class. Each student is able to be well known and mentored for success.
Indiana University is rated among the top 50 DPT programs according to the U.S. News & World Report. It has an advantageous location in Indianapolis with all the benefits of large city clinical training. For in-state applicants, it may be an ideal choice as the ratio of past acceptance is weighted heavily to the Indiana resident.
Loma Linda University (LLU) is located in Loma Linda, CA., and is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is a highly regarded university health system. LLU advocates integrating health, science, and Christian faith in the treatment of the sick and injured. If a student wants to integrate Christ’s teaching into their practice, applying to LLU is worth investigation.
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans being located in southeastern Louisiana provides great access to students in the southern part of the state. New Orleans the largest city in the state not only provides student access to excellent clinical training opportunities, but also to a wide variety of Big Easy adventures.
Mary Baldwin College (MBC) is located nearby Staunton, Virginia, at the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The MBC Campus has beautiful walking trails, mountain views, and is close to many other attractions. The accreditation process is underway and the start of the inaugural MBC DPT cohort started in June 2014.
