The University of Kansas Medical Center is part of University of Kansas. Established in 1945, it has longstanding historical roots in the practice of physical therapy. The U.S. News & World Report co-ranks the UKMC PT doctorate program 19th in the nation.
University of Saint Mary is Roman Catholic in its religious affiliation. Established by Sisters of Charity in 1859, the DPT program is newly established. One of the aims of the department is “…to develop 10 key core values in our students as they evolve through their academic and clinical training: community, justice, respect, excellence, compassion, accountability, professional responsibility, integrity, altruism, tolerance.”
